Andrew Mark Changes Name to Pseudonym Pandrés
Andrew Mark has decided to yet again change his performance name. Andrew started as Andrew Schaffer, then decided to use his full name, Andrew Mark Schaffer, as a tribute to his father, who he is proud to be named after; after venues frequently spelling Schaffer incorrect, Andrew decided to just be Andrew Mark. Now Andrew has transitioned to a pseudonym - Pandrés. Pandrés is a combination of Panda & Andrés (Andrew in Spanish; Pandrew). Andrew's first girlfriend gave him the nickname - Pandrew, because of his love for Pandas. Due to Andrew's sole proprietorship being called Expandable Panda, and being used heavily for marketing; Andrew knew he wanted Pandas to be involved. So he chose Pandrew. However, Andrew has recently been getting in touch with his Puerto Rican roots. He is planning to be incorporating Spanish aspects of music ino his new songs very soon. So he decided to translate Pandrew into Spanish, especially since sometimes his mother would call him Andrés sometimes. Especially when he was in trouble. Andrew finds Pandrés to sound more like a pseudonym than Pandrew, he thought it had a perfect ring to it. Not everyone he told about it liked it at first, just like they didn't like Expandable Panda, but Andrew believes this new name to be the perfect moniker to represent his bi-racial heritage, his actual name, and his love for Pandas. Expect Pandrés alternative website links to be released soon! For now this website is still officialandrewmark.com. Social media links that have been changed to Pandrés are, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat (username: elpandres).
Thank you so much for the support! Andrew cannot wait to see what this next chapter of the journey has in store.
